Halloween Party in the Park!

Date: Thursday, October 24, 2025
Time: 7:00–9:00 PM
Location: Fonde Park

Join your neighbors for a fun, family-friendly Halloween evening at Fonde Park! This annual community gathering is a chance for residents to connect, let the kids play, and celebrate fall together in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

We’ll have games, good food, and plenty of Halloween spirit — all right here in our neighborhood. The event is open to all Fonde residents and their families. Costumes are encouraged but not required!

This year’s event will include:

• Food and Drinks – Simple picnic-style favorites
  
  

• Games – Ring toss, tic-tac-toe, limbo, and more
  
  

• Candy for Kids – Treats and small prizes
  
  

• Costume Contests – For kids and pets, with fun prizes
  
  

Whether you come to play, chat, or just enjoy the evening, there’s something for everyone.

Costume Contest Details

Our costume contests are all about creativity and fun!
Categories will include: Most Creative, Cutest Costume, Spookiest Costume, and Best Pet Costume

Winners will receive small prizes and neighborhood bragging rights!

Neighborhood events like this one are possible because of our volunteers. If you’d like to help with setup, decorations, or cleanup, please reach out to Maria at 713-206-7591— even 30 minutes of your time makes a big difference.

You can also help by bringing a small bag of candy or a snack to share.

Trash Collection Updates

April 2025:

• Garbage collection is on schedule.

• Recycling collection may be up to two days late throughout the city. Please set out your recycling on your scheduled date/time to avoid a missed pick-up. 

• Heavy Trash: Heavy Trash collection is running three days behind schedule. Crews are currently working on heavy trash from the third week of April.

• Yard waste services are delayed. 

Neighborhood Pick-Up Information

Our trash pickup is on the Tuesday of every week. Recycling is picked up every other week. 

Please only place your cans out on Monday and return them promptly after pick up.
